White Christmas

Kinleys first Christmas was a white one!

This is pretty unusual here in Oklahoma, I think the last time we had a white Christmas was back in 2000. We had a great Christmas spending a lot of time with both mine and Bretts families! Kinley got lots of fun toys and is already on her was to being spoiled by her grandparents! Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and this year it was even more special because we got to share it with Kinley and start fun family traditions!

1 month/Due Date

Today is Kinley's 1 month birthday! It is crazy that she is already a whole month old. What is even crazier is that today was my due date. I can't even imagine still being pregnant or just now having her. Starting way back in April today is the day that we had been counting down to and looking forward to. Instead of being in the hospital having her today we are already in a pretty good routine and I feel like we are already pretty adjusted to having a baby. We are so thankful that even though she came a little early she was completely healthy!

Today we went to church, then to lunch at Joseppie's. After lunch we had a parents meeting at church for child dedications next weekend. It was a little weird going to a parents meeting, it doesn't really feel like we have been parents long enough to be going to parents meetings! After the meeting we went home and all took naps, it was nice to get a little rest this afternoon because we didn't get much last night. It was really nice outside here today so after nap time we took Kinley on a walk. It was the first time we had used the stroller and I really liked it! Kinley slept through most of the walk, until the very end when she decided she was starving. Usually I like it to be cold and snowing in December but it was nice to have a 70 degree day to take Kinley on her first walk!

1 month

The outfit that she is wearing in the picture is what she was supposed to wear home from the hospital. It was way too big a month ago and she still has plenty of room to grow but I thought it would be fun to take her 1 month picture in it!

Tanning

Kinley is already working on her tan for next summer! Her bilirubin levels are a little high so we started phototherapy today, she has been on a light bed all day except when it is time for her o eat. She isn't a huge fan of laying there all herself, but she is doing pretty good. It might be harder for us because we just want to hold her so bad! My parents came up to visit, today is my moms birthday so we had Hideaway for lunch here at the hospital. I love being able to eat without everything making me feel sick!

We let my mom hold her for a minute before putting her back on the lights after a feeding since it was her b-day!

Football

Last night Kinley watched her first football game with her dad! We pulled the couch in front of the TV in our hospital room. I ended up falling asleep about 30 minutes into the game, it was a great nap. The Cowboys ended up pulling out a win over Texas Tech, maybe Kinley is their lucky charm!

First Post

I have been wanting to start blogging for awhile now, but am finally making myself actually sit down and do it. I don't think of myself as a great writer so this is going to be hard for me. I want to do it to keep a "scrapbook" of memories for our family. Hopefully after this first post it will get easier!
