Vermont

We just got back from a little family vacation to Vermont. It was absolutely beautiful! Fall is my favorite time of year and Vermont in mid-October was perfect!

I have tons more pictures, I will try to post more of them later and write about what we did each day!

10 months

Wow! Kinley you are growing up so fast. Already 10 months old, you aren't going to be a baby much longer. Here is what you have been up to the last month:

-You are an AWESOME sleeper and always have been. You sleep 12hrs at night and take 2 naps that are about 2 hours long everyday!

-You are drinking only formula now and take 4 bottles a day, you eat 3 meals of solid food. You are eating a mixture of baby food and finger foods now but are about to start on all finger/table foods.

-You are "talking" more and more everyday. I can't wait until you start saying real words!

-You learned to clap this month! When we say "clap your hands" or "yea!" you will clap and you are so proud of yourself when you do!

-You are still wearing size 2 diaper and are wearing 3-6 month clothes.

-You are crawling everywhere and love exploring the new house. Your favorite place to explore is probably the kitchen, you are always crawling into it.

-We moved into the house in Berry Creek this month and you seem to like it. Mommy and Daddy are really excited to be in the new house!!!

-You are really good at crawling and pulling up. You are will walk around as long as you have something to hold on to.

I can't wait to see what all you learn this coming month and see how much more you grow!

We are so excited it's football season, and with football season is my favorite time of year FALL!!!! There is nothing better than cooler weather, leaves changing and an afternoon football game. As you can tell Kinley is also excited about football season and the Cowboys getting their first win last night! Hopefully the rest of the season will go just as good!!!

9 months

These months just keep on flying by! I can't believe I am already doing Kinley's 9 month post. It is crazy that it is already August, this year has gone by so fast. I am ready for Fall to get here, it has been SO hot we don't go outside very much. Kinley here is what you have been up to the last month:

-You learned to crawl on all 4's this month and you are everywhere!

You also learned how to pull up. One afternoon I went to get you up from your nap and you were standing in your crib. Luckily you quickly figured out how to sit back down on your own after a couple of days. You now pull up on just about everything and LOVE standing up. You think you are such a big girl now.

-You have started babbling more and still squeal all the time!

-We went to the Dr this morning for you 9 month Well Check and you weigh 13lbs 15.6 oz and are 25 3/4 inches long.

-We recently switched you to size 2 diapers

-You still wear 0-3 month and 3-6 month clothes

-You eat lots of food, pretty much all the stage 1 and 2 gerber foods plus chicken, pork, and beef

-You start eating cheerios a couple of days ago and love them!

-You have been eating 3 meals a day and getting milk 4-5 times a day. We are also getting ready to start weaning from breastfeeding.

-This last month you have been taking 2-3 naps during the day, still 3 most days.

-Your favorite toy is the LeafFrog music table. You love to pull up on it and sit down over and over and over!!!

Oh and you can't sit still anymore!!!!

8 months

I haven't been the best blogger lately but I'll give it another try! I can't believe Kinley is already 8 months old! I know I say that every month, but seriously!!! Here is what has been going on this month:

-Kinley celebrated her first 4th of July!

-She gets up on all 4's and rocks back and forth. She is also starting to "army crawl" everywhere!

- We have gone to the Berry Creek pool a few times and she is liking the pool much better than when we were in Florida a few months ago!

-Last week we went to the doctor and Kinley weighed 13lbs 0.8oz! Such a big girl now!!!

-She is still in size 1 diapers.

-Wearing a combination on 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes!

-Still taking 3 naps most days and sleeping GREAT (12 hrs) at night!

-As of right now she is still nursing every 3-4 hours during the day.

-Eating: oatmeal, apples, pears, prunes, peaches, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, beef, and chicken. She is a pretty good eater and most of the time will eat anything we try to give her. We have also given her puffs a few times and she does a pretty good job of getting the into her mouth by herself!

-Still no teeth yet but maybe soon!

-Favorite toys are her new shape sorter and just about anything she can chew on!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!

6 Months Already?!

Seriously, where does time go? Kinley, I can't believe you are already 6 months old! That is half of a year already, I just can't believe it went by so fast. Here is what you have been up to lately:

-You flew on your first airplane this past month. We went on a vacation to Desitn, Fl with grandma and grandpa Mckee, aunt Melissa, and cousin Caryss. Dad's cousin Brady was getting married so thats why we went!

-You did awesome on the airplane hardly any crying at all!

-You were NOT a big fan of the beach or the swimming pool at all! We will have to work on this because the beach is so much fun and your mommy really likes the beach!

-You are still wearing size 1 diapers

-You are pretty much still wearing 0-3 month clothes but mommy really wished you would grow just a little bit more because you have lots of really cute 3-6 month clothes in your closet that are still just a little big!

-You really like playing in your exasaucer now and can really play with all the toys!

-You decided that you really don't like your paci much and would rather chew/suck on your finger, mommy is not that excited about it but I guess its okay for now!

-You are pretty much sitting up all by yourself now, every once in a while you tip over but not often!

-You are still not a big fan on being on your tummy, but hopefully once you learn to move around that will change

-You absolutely LOVE squealing! You started this around the time you were 5 month old and just love to hear yourself talk!

-About a month or so ago you found you feet and love to chew/suck on them all the time! You are so funny!

-You are still drinking milk about every 3 hours during the day but you go 11-12 sometimes even longer at night!!!

-You have eaten rice cereal and oatmeal. I think your going to be a great eater because you have loved both of these and are doing great eating them!

-We went to the doctor and you weigh 11 lbs 5 oz. You were 24 inches long. I can't believe you are getting so big, but you are still really small for 6 months old!

-Your daddy and I love you so much and can't imagine life without you! (I am going to try to be better about posting monthly updates!)

Basketball

Last night Kinley went to her first basketball game! We were given tickets for free so we jumped on the opportunity to go to a game. Last year we had season tickets but we decided not to get them this year since Kinley would be so little and if we took her she would have to have a ticket to get into the game. How ridiculous is it that an infant has to have a ticket even though they will be held the entire game! Anyways we had a great time and Kinley even got to meet the cheerleaders and get her picture made with them!

2 Month Dr Appt

We went to Kinley's 2 month check-up today and she weighed 7lbs 14.4 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long! I was really sad when she had to get her shots but she was a champ and only cried for a minute then was fine. She has been a little fussier than normal today and has slept more and hasn't eaten as much since her shots this morning. Hopefully she will be back to normal soon!

Happy Two Months!

Kinley what have you been up to the last month?

-You celebrated your first Christmas and New Years

-You made your first trip to Arkansas to see you great-grandma (you were not a huge fan of the 6 hour car ride!)

-You stayed in LifeKids at church for the first time this month

-You are still wearing newborn diapers

-You are no longer wearing your preemie clothes and wear all newborn clothes now

-You love to lay on your activity mat and play as long as you are on your back

-You have not been a big fan of tummy time lately

-You also enjoy sitting like a big girl in your bumbo

-You eat every 3 hours during the day and you have recently started only waking up once during the night to eat

-Last week on your 8 week birthday we moved you into your crib in your room

-Your favorite books are "Moo, Baa, La La La" and "Is Your Mama a Llama"

-You have smiled at Dad and I a couple of times

Play Time!

Yesterday Kinley's friend Griffin came over to play for a little while when his mom ran an errand. Griffin is 9 1/2 months and his mom Sarah is one of my good friends! Kinley wasn't too much fun she just watched Griffin play then fell asleep!

He was being so sweet trying to share with her!

I cant wait for all the fun times these two will have playing in the future!
